How does it work?

Research into how flies react to zebras and their stripes suggests that the monochromatic stripes confuse flies and act as a natural deterrent to the insect.
Based on this principle, we have developed a special monochromatic pattern that aims to camouflage horses from annoying insects and flies.
The unique print is modelled on the pattern of a fly's wing. The superimposed black lines on a grey background act like an optical illusion to flies.
The pattern distorts the shape of the horse. The insects have difficulty recognising the horse as a target and do not know where to land. It combines the benefits of a lightweight turnout rug and a fly rug. The monochrome pattern can be a simple method to protect horses from flies landing on their bodies.
